weathering

their are two tips of weathring they are MECHANICAL WEATHERING and CHEMICAL WEATHERING.MECHANICAL WEATHERING is when Only the size changes. for exsampel if you hit a peice of rock with a hammer and the rock brakes into smaller pecies you are doing MECHANICAL WEATHERING or when pecies of cliffs break off into pebbles and the pebbles into sand.thir is also Abrasion is where rocks rub against each other. This occurs mostly in streams where fragments bounce off each other and round out like a drum creating gems.
CHEMICAL WEATHERING is the process by which rocks are decomposed, dissolved or loosened by chemical processes to form residual materials.
Rainwater, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and plant decay acids are all examples of chemical erosion.
